I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to discuss the following specific matter of national and international urgency, namely, the need for the Irish Government to demand of Israel - if necessary, to seek international assistance in this regard - the safe passage of the vessel, the M.V. Rachel Corrie, containing humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, which must be allowed to discharge its cargo, to seek a guarantee for the safety in international waters and in Gaza of those Irish citizens among those participating in this humanitarian act and to address the breaches of international and maritime law that have already occurred and the tragic loss of life that has ensued from recent Israeli actions in international waters.
