Question 41: To ask the Minister for Finance his views on the latest quarterly national accounts which showed a record 11.3% fall in GNP for 2009; his further views on the most recent quarterly national household survey which showed that the total number of persons unemployed added to those outside the labour force, but interested in finding work, increased from 10.8% at end 2008 to 16.5% at end 2009 and emigration and participation trends; his views on the end of March quarterly Exchequer returns which showed a revenue shortfall of more than €1.2 billion compared to the same period last year; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
