Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 32
10:30 am
Paul Connaughton Snr (Galway East, Fine Gael)
I wish to seek the Adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to discuss the disastrous prices paid by Irish meat factories to beef farmers, whether the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is aware that over the past 12 months similarly classified beef cattle are worth €150 per head more in the United Kingdom, if the Government is satisfied there is no collusion between the factories concerning price, if the dominant position of the Goodman Group is adding to unnecessarily depressed prices——
