I seek some clarity on this matter. Did the Taoiseach speak to Máire Geoghegan-Quinn about the possibility of her appointing the former Senator de Búrca to her cabinet before the Commission was approved by the European Parliament? I understood from the former Senator de Búrca's radio interview last Sunday that she was offered a senior position in the office or cabinet of the Irish member of the Court of Auditors.
