My colleague, Deputy Jan O'Sullivan, is tabling a motion for the health committee that there should be no further centralisation of medical card processing until the health committee has an opportunity to examine the dysfunctionality which is already evident in the dealing with the over 70s medical cards. Will the Government agree to that motion and agree there will be no further centralisation of the medical cards?
While I am on that subject, following an article in yesterday's The Irish Times, is it true that HSE directors will get an increase of 5.5%, as reported?
