Is the Minister saying in response to my query and that of Deputy Gilmore that the NAMA banks will not follow suit and increase mortgage rates, for which the taxpayer will have to pay again and again to an undetermined amount? This is of consternation, frustration and anger to thousands of people, which I know the Minister will understand. I am aware of the legalities in regard to variable interest rates.
