Credit Institutions (Eligible Liabilities Guarantee) Scheme 2009: Motion

Deputies asked when the scheme will commence. It will be as soon as possible, most likely tomorrow. Given that the House will make a decision on this matter in about ten minutes, it is important to outline the consequences of not passing this order. They are that the banks would not be able to access longer term debt, which is vital to providing a balanced-----
