Flood Relief: Statements.
9:00 pm
Frank Feighan (Roscommon-South Leitrim, Fine Gael)
If an agreed emergency plan was in operation, why was there a distinct lack of sandbags in every local authority area? When I asked for sandbags, why I was told to go to a supplier and pay €3 per sandbag? That is wrong.
The emergency services did not attend various floods because of a lack of funding. If the Minister is in the area, will he please visit north Roscommon and south Leitrim because Boyle and Carrick-on-Shannon have been badly hit?
