We have had a litany of eminent persons from the Fianna Fáil Party - Deputy Andrews, Deputy Kennedy, Deputy O'Keeffe, Deputy McGrath, Deputy Aylward, Deputy Kelly and Deputy Byrne - saying rightly that the McCarthy report should be published. If the Taoiseach did not want it published he should have said to Mr. McCarthy at the outset, "I don't want to see your report and don't come here with your report until the middle of October". The Taoiseach did not say that and the Minister for Finance is now in possession of this document. The Minister, Deputy Lenihan, should publish the document, let everyone see what is in it, let them begin to digest it and for its value, or whatever is in it, at least the range of options presented by McCarthy can be begun to be considered by the people.
