I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the serious cutbacks imposed on the funding and maintenance of roads nationally and taking into account the cut of €3.8 million to the roads programme in the South Tipperary County Council budget; and to ask the Minister to clarify how roads are to be properly maintained at such low levels of funding given that poor roads and infrastructure cause major issues for tourism and businesses not to mention the damage to people's vehicles.
