Order of Business
10:30 am
Seymour Crawford (Cavan-Monaghan, Fine Gael)
I wish to raise three issues. Given that alcohol can be bought anywhere today by young people, when will the sale of alcohol Bill be brought before the House? On the matter of the difficulties facing those engaged in agriculture and to allow us to the opportunity to discuss them, when will the Animal Health and Welfare Bill be brought before the House?
Given that patients on arriving at the gates of hospitals are being brought to other hospitals and patients who are in what is known as centres of excellence in Our of Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda cannot be looked after, when will the eligibility for health and personal social services Bill be brought before the House? An invalid man was given his breakfast last Saturday morning but it was hours before he could eat it because he could not reach it and there was nobody to help him. He was in a semi-private ward paid for by the VHI.
