Brian Cowen (Laois-Offaly, Fianna Fail)

The Minister for Finance has indicated that it has priority in the Department. It is an arduous and complex piece of legislation. It is being proceeded with as quickly as possible. The question of the legislation being published before the recess begins is a target set by the Minister but if not, he has said he maybe prepared to come back to deal with it in September. It will be closer to the end of the recess before we will be able to make a definite statement on that matter.
