The free preschool year in early childhood care and education is a good news story and it is a shame the Opposition does not have the backbone to get behind such initiatives for the greater good of the country. The Opposition had the same reaction to the early child care supplement on its introduction in 2006 and at this point it constitutes tiring rhetoric. I commend the amendment to the House.
