I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the announcement by the Irish Prison Service on the matter of the spending of more than €40 million of taxpayers' money on Thornton Hall super prison in north county Dublin, which is not now proceeding, and the need for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to inform the House of the intentions of Government in the short term.
