Question 1: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the reason there is a 30% increase in delayed discharges from acute hospitals between 2007 and 2008 which lost the hospital system 216,885 bed days; the further reason the health service is not using beds available in the community; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
