I wish to seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, that the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment immediately engages with the management and workers at SR Technics to prevent the closure of this critical aviation and engineering company; and if she will also urgently engage with all of the relevant State agencies and stakeholders at Dublin Airport, including the Dublin Airport Authority, IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and all the airline carriers to ensure that the 1,200 SR Technics jobs are maintained and that the renowned centre of excellence in aircraft maintenance and engineering at Dublin Airport and other locations in Ireland is protected for the local and national economy.
