Stabilisation of the Public Finances: Motion (Resumed)

Surely, if the levy is a pension levy, it can only be levied on pensionable income. What are the Ministers' views in that regard? On the recapitalisation of the banks, has the Minister examined the difficulties faced by the banks given that much of their lending is a result of borrowings by the banks? Therefore any moneys going into recapitalisation may, because the banks must keep borrowing, be used by the banks themselves to pay back what they have borrowed from other banks. What are the Minister's views on that issue?

When we have investment opportunities, for example in offshore renewable energy, we should be able to prioritise legislation to ensure these projects are up and running as quickly as possible.
