I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to discuss a matter of national importance, namely, the reorganisation of 24-hour accident and emergency services at Ennis and Nenagh General Hospitals as per the Teamwork report, thus placing 44,000 people in Clare outside the internationally recognised golden hour standard in the delivery of acute care and with inevitable consequences for our remaining national network of general hospitals.

I too am appalled that Deputy Breen and I were not allowed to raise this issue on the Adjournment today.
