Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 32

I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of extreme importance, namely, the proposals to reconfigure accident and emergency services as outlined in the review of acute hospital services in the Health Service Executive mid-west area, the implications of these proposals for 24-hour accident and emergency services at Ennis General Hospital and the need for the Minister for Health and Children to debate this matter in the House.

I am disappointed that neither my request nor that of Deputy Joe Carey for an Adjournment debate or private notice question on this matter was accepted. By what means may we debate this issue in the House? The Minister will be in the Chamber later today and could set aside time for such a debate.
