I saw a number of budgets in the House — some good, some bad and some mediocre. I have never seen a budget that has dealt a more vicious or savage blow to the farming community than this one. I do not say this because I happen to be in Opposition; I am only articulating what Government Deputies, Senators and public representatives have been saying throughout the length and breadth of Ireland at farmers' meetings in the past five or six weeks.
