I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to urgently address the issues raised in the Environmental Protection Agency report, published today, which found that almost 30% of rivers are polluted and half of ground-water supplies are contaminated which is very worrying and distressing.
