I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to discuss the following matter of urgent national importance, namely, the huge acceleration in job losses, the collapse in public finances, the crisis in the financial system with massive write-down in the value of pension funds, the lack of any strategy from Government to tackle the huge economic challenges and the lack of any pre-budget economic statement from the Government to inform the Dáil of the challenges and choices.
