I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to discuss the following specific and important matter of public interest requiring urgent attention, namely, the need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to meet with Galway City Council to address issues that have arisen in regard to the safety of the water supply system in certain areas of Galway city and in particular the needs of elderly residents of the 5,000 houses affected. I hope given the urgency of the issue that the Ceann Comhairle will agree to this request.
