Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 32
11:00 am
Jan O'Sullivan (Limerick East, Labour)
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to discuss a matter of specific and important public interest requiring urgent attention, namely, the need for the Minister for Health and Children to request the Health Information and Quality Authority to carry out a full inquiry into the circumstances of the deaths of Ann Moriarty and Edel Kelly and allegations that there was a failure to diagnose breast cancer particularly in view of the fact that early diagnosis and treatment could have saved the lives of the two women concerned. Given the importance of this matter I hope the Ceann Comhairle will agree to my request.
