Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 32
10:30 am
James Bannon (Longford-Westmeath, Fine Gael)
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the unacceptable decision of the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to merge REPS 2 and REPS 3 payments with REPS 4 and pay these at the end of the year with the single farm payments which will impact adversely on the farming industry to the detriment of the livelihoods of individual farmers who signed a contract with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food for specific payments at specific times.
