I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Michael Ring — the position regarding the construction of a new premises for a gaelscoil in County Mayo; (2) Deputy Kieran O'Donnell — to give a commitment that the accident and emergency services at St. John's Hospital, Limerick, will not be downgraded but will be retained and enhanced; that she will provide us with a date as to when the teamwork consultants report on the review of acute hospital services in the mid-west will be published and that she will make a detailed statement on this matter; (3) Deputy James Bannon — to provide urgent core funding for the continuation and expansion of osteoporosis services, which are currently provided by the Irish Osteoporosis Society, which is a charitable organisation and is surviving with a skeletal staff of two to cover the entire country and which will be forced to close without such funding, leaving the public and health professionals without a point of contact; (4) Deputy Joe Costello — to establish an independent inquiry into the death of a person (details supplied); (5) Deputy Deirdre Clune — the need to ensure the regeneration of the Cork docklands area is facilitated through tax incentives; (6) Deputy Michael McGrath — that a new school building (details supplied) be provided for Passage West, County Cork, without further delay; (7) Deputy Martin Ferris — fatal traffic accidents on rural roads; (8) Deputy Rory O'Hanlon — the significant job losses in County Monaghan; (9) Deputy Jimmy Deenihan — the serious problem facing the orthodontic services in the Kerry area as outlined in a recent internal report by a senior orthodontic consultant; (10) Deputy Dan Neville — the construction of a new primary school at Kilfinane, County Limerick; and (11) Deputy Terence Flanagan — the failure to meet the needs of the students attending a school (details supplied) in Donaghmede, Dublin 13.

The matters raised by Deputies Deirdre Clune, Martin Ferris, Rory O'Hanlon and Michael Ring have been selected for discussion.
