The result of that rebalancing will mean increased sales of new cars. Is that what the Greens stand for? I represent a constituency where most people cannot live without a car. Public transport in many parts of the constituency simply does not exist. The Minister stands over a budget where €2.7 billion will be spent on transport, approximately one third of which will go into public transport, including airports and ports. That is a very poor record on which to go before his party and his voters and say it was worthwhile making the sacrifice, that he got all his promises on incineration, Tara and so on fulfilled.
