Climate Change and Energy Security: Statements
11:00 am
Tommy Broughan (Dublin North East, Labour)
I congratulate the Minister on his appointment. This is the first opportunity I have had to face him across the floor of the House. Obviously the general tenor of his speech was an attempt to convince the country of the importance of this issue and it is critically important to our civilisation. An element of his speech defends the purchasing of carbon credits. When he was on this side of the House he would have regarded that as an outrage.
