I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to address the following matter of national importance requiring urgent consideration, namely, the need for immediate Government action to provide additional beds, isolation units and single rooms to combat the continuing spread of MRSA and other very serious and potentially fatal infections in our hospitals in light of the report from Beaumont Hospital in Dublin that it is unable to isolate one-third of patients with MRSA due to insufficient bed capacity.
