Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil Under Standing Order 32
10:30 am
James Reilly (Dublin North, Fine Gael)
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the threatened withdrawal of pharmacies from the methadone scheme on Monday next and the withdrawal of all GMS services to elderly and vulnerable pensioners from 1 December; I ask the Minister to intervene by calling for an independent impact assessment and I call on the Irish Pharmaceutical Union to withdraw its threat of action and on the HSE to defer the proposed changes pending the outcome of that assessment.
