Fire Services: Motion (Resumed)

The fire authority is required under section 10 of the Fire Services Act 1981 to make provision for the delivery of fire services in its functional area, including the establishment and maintenance of a fire brigade service, and to make adequate provision for the reception of, and response to, calls for the assistance of that service. The Minister does not have any discretion in the matter.
