Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 32.
2:30 pm
Pat Breen (Clare, Fine Gael)
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 32 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, media reports that the Minister for Transport is to intervene to safeguard Heathrow slots for Cork and Dublin airports and is to abandon Shannon Airport leaving the entire region bereft of any connectivity and thereby abandoning the business and tourism sectors of the west. I urge the Minister to put the case for Shannon-Heathrow on the agenda for the forthcoming extraordinary general meeting.
