I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to discuss a matter of national importance, namely, to allow time for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to update the Dáil on when he was first asked to provide assistance in upgrading the Oughterard sewage treatment plant, which is still discharging virtually raw human sewage into Lough Corrib, causing considerable problems for the people of Galway.
