Question : To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the steps he will take to release the funds to Galway City and County Councils to upgrade their water treatment facilities; and if he will lift the staff embargo on local authority recruitment in the Galway area, Galway city having the lowest staffing per capita in the country, to ensure work is carried out urgently to avoid further damage to the health of people and to the economy of the region.
