I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of urgent national importance, namely, the urgent need on this, International Women's Day, for the Government to take action, along the lines of that advocated by the recent Sinn Féin Private Members' motion, to tackle domestic and sexual violence against women, which remains at a shamefully high level and is an indictment of the Government's refusal to do all in its power to realise equality for women.
