However, the weakness in that regard is that the decision is made by the county registrar and there is no appeal mechanism. One does not know whether one has been included in the supplementary register until after its publication, which usually takes place two to three days before the election. The local authority should publish its draft and thereafter, people who wish to appeal may do so to the county registrar.
