I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Burton — the need for the Minister for Education and Science to provide extra language resource teachers in schools to cater for those with limited or no understanding of the English language; (2) Deputy Michael Smith — that the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment take the steps necessary to ensure Erin Foods-Premier, Thurles, County Tipperary, where 130 people are employed, is safeguarded; (3) Deputy Cregan — the need for the Minister for Education and Science to provide funding for the provision of a replacement playground at a school; (4) Deputy McHugh — to discuss the threatened closure of Seamount College, Kinvara, County Galway; (5) Deputy Howlin — the wish of a person to remain in employment as a home tutor; (6) Deputy Cowley — that the Minister for Health and Children takes urgent action to ensure that nurses are treated equitably in our hospitals as regards their working conditions; (7) Deputy Broughan — the urgent need for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to respond to the Stardust Relatives and Victims Committee; (8) Deputy Ned O'Keeffe — that the country of origin and manufacturer are named on all food labels to protect the safety and health of consumers; (9) Deputy McGinley — the urgent need to bring replacement jobs to Donegal town and south Donegal in view of recent company closures and redundancies; (10) Deputy Deenihan — the urgent need for the provision of funding to build a by-pass of Castleisland town in County Kerry; (11) Deputy Kelleher — that the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform establishes a forum on immigration; (12) Deputy Neville — the construction of a new school at Coláiste Chiarán, Croom, County Limerick; and (13) Deputy Healy — the urgent need for the Minister for Finance to immediately approve funding for the Clonmel flood alleviation scheme.

The matters raised by Deputies Healy, Howlin, Kelleher and McGinley have been selected for discussion.
