Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 31
5:00 am
Dan Boyle (Cork South Central, Green Party)
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to debate the following urgent matter: that the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government make a statement to the House explaining the circumstances whereby he has appointed to the board of An Bord Pleanála a member of the RPS company intimately involved in the proposal to construct an incinerator for Poolbeg in Dublin, which is part of a trend of similarly compromising appointments by the Government, such as the previous appointment as a director of the Environmental Protection Agency of a former employee of the Indaver company, which is seeking to construct two incinerators at Ringaskiddy, County Cork.
