Question 86: To ask the Minister for Social and Family Affairs if, in regard to his recent interview on a television station and subsequent press statement, he will outline the steps he will take to secure a reduction in the interest rates charged to low income families; if, in particular, he has instructed his Department to prepare legislation to make it illegal to charge exorbitant interest rates to such people; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
