I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, given that tens of thousands of electors have this week been notified they are being deleted from the register of electors, the urgent need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to ensure that no one is deleted from the register of electors unless he or she has died, his or her entry is a duplication or he or she has moved, and to ask the Minister to make a statement on the matter.
