Question 100: To ask the Minister for Education and Science her views on whether her Department has failed to invest sufficiently in second level education as reflected in Ireland's position at 29th out of 30 countries in the OECD league table by GDP and 24th by GNP and that, notwithstanding investment in special needs and international students, the vast majority of second level students here have not seen a reduction in class sizes; if she will commit to providing 1,000 additional second level teachers in 2007; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
