I wish to request the Adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a specific matter of local and national importance, namely, the need for the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources to introduce legislation immediately to empower ComReg to take urgent and effective action against disastrous telecommunications operators such as Smart and Perlico, which have made, and continue to make, life hell for their customers; and to ask the Minister to make a statement on the matter.
