I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to debate the following urgent matter, namely, to welcome the most recent drugs seizures by the Garda Síochána, including approximately 10 kg of heroin and 4 kg of cocaine seized in Clondalkin and Swords last weekend, the potentially fatal danger of all drug abuse including the deaths of two men in Dublin last weekend as a result of an excessive consumption of cocaine, which points to the need for the Government to do more to tackle the myth that certain drugs are "recreational" and therefore "safe", and to resource the national and local drugs units and community policing to enable the Garda to effectively tackle illegal drugs supply in partnership with communities.
