I cannot conclude my contribution without referring to electronic voting. Does the Minister propose to provide electronic voting in prisons? Has he finally concluded that he will recycle the useless machines purchased by his predecessor? In future proposals, as well as giving fair play to prisoners, could we also give fair play to taxpayers? Spending €52 million on these useless machines is extremely unfair to the taxpayer.

I hope we can get clarity on some of the issues I have raised and I look forward to tabling amendments in respect of the various technical flaws in the Bill on Committee Stage.
