I wish to seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance: the serious questions regarding the Taoiseach's tax affairs following his statement that the €50,000 given to him by friends has not been paid back, no interest has been paid on it and that it therefore appears to constitute a gift that would be liable to tax.
