Order of Business.

I do not agree. The motion proposes that the Dáil approves the disposal of shares in Aer Lingus by the Minister for Finance, in accordance with section 3(2) of the Aer Lingus Act 2003. It is not appropriate to put this motion before the House today. I vehemently oppose it, irrespective of how it presents and I object to the taking of it today. It is not appropriate for this House to approve the disposal of a critical and strategic national asset.
