The amendment provides for a system whereby a person who is found guilty of a serious traffic offence, as part of the penalty in addition to paying a fine or serving a prison sentence, he or she would need to resit the driving test. In the case of very serious traffic offences it is justified. I urge the Minister to support the amendment.
