They are desperate because they might see a person having a radical mastectomy because of the difficulties in obtaining an essential part of a treatment such as, for example, chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery. It is critical that patients receive the three modalities of treatment. As a result of the difficulty in sourcing one part of the treatment, namely, the radiotherapy, people's lives are being put in jeopardy. As a result, surgeons have no choice but to carry out radical mastectomies.
