The Taoiseach said yesterday that the Prison Service was checking the number of prisoners who would be affected by the Supreme Court decision. Can the Tánaiste update us on this? Has the Government any information on the number of people currently going through the system who might be affected?

Taking into account that sentencing was adjourned yesterday because of the case taken under the 1935 Act, pending action by the Government, I believe this matter is serious. It is not party political and it is in the people's interest that young persons be protected.
