Energy Sector: Motion (Resumed).

——and which has soared ahead, and "well done" to it, has been able to provide the material at a cheaper level. That is what I am afraid we might end up doing, and I am sure that is not what people intend or would like to happen. We want to promote indigenous industry.

I commend the Government motion on the establishment of the Irish Energy Research Council. It is one of the most important things the Government can do. We need long-term good thinking on that, not madcap notions such as we got from Fine Gael.
